October Update

We spent the month of October continuing to look at the parables Jesus told. They’re such a great way for our kids to understand what the Kingdom of God is all about. We also took advantage of some warm weather while we still have it. We’ll finish up our parable series in November, and then we’ll be ready for the Christmas story (and Christmas presents!)

The kids at Cathy’s Pointe love to color. And since it’s our biggest, wildest group each week, coloring is a great way to bring a little calm to the room (kind of!).
We used pennies to teach the parable of the unmerciful servant. The crew at Cypress Creek obviously found the pennies quite entertaining.
Props to board member and volunteer Tyson for his willingness to come to Spring Terrace straight from work. Playing basketball in dress shoes and a tie is no easy feat!
Lia let Trey teach the Bible verse at Plum Creek. Maybe we’ll hire him to help every week, because the younger kids paid very close attention to what he had to say!

The Glenwood kids request Jump the River each and every week. You’d think they’d get bored with it at some point. But you’d be wrong.
