We have already had a blast this summer! In addition to our regular weekly Bible studies filled with crafts, snacks, and water balloons, we were able to partner with 3 different churches to create some fun new memories and friendships for our kids.

We kicked off the summer at Cathy’s Pointe with the Hillside North Grand Campus. They brought out water blasters, water guns, kiddie pools, and thousands of water balloons for an epic water fight.

The week of the 17th, the Church at Bushland came out to the North Grand Villas for their annual Week of Fun. The kids always enjoy the silly songs, the crafts, the games, the stories, and making new friends. But the hit of the week is always the giant Slip ‘n Slide they set up on the final day.

The last week of June, The Fellowship of Huntsville (TX) Students returned again for a Week of Fun at all 7 of our properties (plus an 8th we were able to set up at Amarillo Garden Community). They were able to spend time with over 125 kids each and every day – playing games, drawing with chalk, blowing bubbles, and learning about the love of Jesus. It was a great week. We met new kids and families, and had an absolute blast.  

Our apartment community in Lubbock, Cantibury Pointe, is also getting in on some fun. Our coordinator down there, Tristan, received in internship for the summer in Dallas. So we found a great college student, Eli, to fill in for him. He and a crew of fellow Tech Students have got some great stuff rolling down there with a great group of kids.

Summer isn’t even halfway over yet, and we can’t wait to see what new memories we can make!
