The last week of July, we took 52 leaders and kids on our annual summer highlight, Camp Awesome, for 3 days of fun at Hidden Falls Ranch. We have 2 big goals with camp each year. #1 – to make memories that last a lifetime. #2 – get our kids out of their home environment and into nature to connect with other kids and with God. It feels like we were successful on both counts! From hiking to zip-lining to swimming to games, we had had absolute blast. The weather was unseasonably cool, which we gladly accepted even if it did mean sitting through a couple of thunderstorms!

Special thanks to our incredible group of leaders who volunteered their time, and to Hillside Church, Amarillo Deaf Church, Washington Ave Christian Church, and Westminster Presbyterian for generously allowing us to borrow their vans to transport our kids to and from Camp Awesome.
